Definition of Disability Services as it relates to Health, Physical Health

Disability Services refers to specialized support systems designed to aid individuals with physical, sensory, cognitive, intellectual, mental health, or developmental disabilities in leading fulfilling and independent lives. These services encompass a broad spectrum of assistance, from personal care and assistive technology to education, employment, and social integration. The goal is to empower persons with disabilities by removing barriers and promoting equal opportunities for participation in all aspects of society.
