Sibling

Definition of Sibling as it relates to Family, Uncles, Immediate Family

A sibling is a brother or sister who shares at least one common parent with you. In the context of your family, siblings are those individuals who grew up in the same household and share memories and experiences with you from childhood. As part of your immediate family, siblings hold a special place in the family hierarchy, being closer to you than uncles, who are your parents' siblings. Sibling relationships can be some of the longest-lasting bonds in one's life, providing support, companionship, and a sense of belonging that extends beyond the nuclear family unit.
