Turntables
Turntables, also known as record players, are devices used to play vinyl records. They consist of a platter that spins at a consistent speed, a stylus that reads the grooves of the record, and a tonearm that connects the two. Turntables can be found in various forms such as portable or full-size systems, manual or automatic operation, and different drive mechanisms like belt-drive, direct-drive, or idler-wheel. They are often considered a high-fidelity audio equipment and are used by DJs for mixing and scratching. Turntables can be connected to external amplifiers and speakers for better sound quality and can also be used in conjunction with other audio equipment such as headphones, equalizers, and pre-amplifiers.
