Definition of Gifted Education as it relates to Education, Home Economics Education, Ethics in Education

Gifted Education: A specialized area of education dedicated to meeting the unique academic and social-emotional needs of intellectually advanced learners, typically defined as those with an IQ in the top 2-3% or scoring above the 95th percentile on standardized measures of cognitive ability. Gifted Education often encompasses a range of teaching strategies, learning environments, and curricular adaptations designed to challenge and engage these students, encouraging them to develop their talents and abilities to their fullest potential. Home Economics Education, Ethics in Education, and other areas of study may be integrated into the Gifted Education curriculum to provide well-rounded, interdisciplinary learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and communication skills.
