Gifted Education
Gifted Education refers to specialized instructional strategies and curricula designed to meet the unique learning needs of students identified as intellectually gifted. It encompasses educational services provided to these students, which may occur in various settings such as regular classrooms, special classes or programs, or through distance education. Gifted Education aims to develop each student's potential to the fullest extent possible by providing opportunities for advanced learning and challenge beyond what is typically offered in general education classrooms. It recognizes that gifted students require a different pace and depth of instruction, and often have diverse social and emotional needs as well. Gifted Education may involve acceleration, enrichment, or both, depending on the individual student's abilities and interests. It emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and independent learning, and is designed to foster academic excellence, leadership, and lifelong learning.
