It encompasses the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, attitudes, and behaviors necessary for active citizenship in a diverse and interconnected world. Social Studies Education at the elementary level focuses on introducing students to basic concepts, themes, and issues while vocational education integrates social studies content into career-oriented programs.
