Sustainability

Definition of Sustainability as it relates to Business, International Business, International Marketing Management

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is an integrative approach to managing all activities involved in the flow and transformation of goods from raw materials stage, through to the end user, while considering the objectives and goals of the organization. It encompasses the planning and execution of processes required to optimize the supply chain for efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. SCM integrates key business functions including procurement, production, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and customer service. In an international context, SCM addresses additional complexities such as cross-border trade regulations, cultural differences, and global market dynamics. The goal of SCM is to create value for customers and stakeholders by ensuring a reliable, cost-effective, and responsive supply chain that meets the needs of a dynamic business environment.
