Organizational Behavior (OB) is a multidisciplinary field that studies the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within an organization in order to apply such knowledge toward improving an organization's effectiveness. It involves understanding, predicting, and managing people's behavior in organizations. OB draws from several disciplines including psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, and economics. The study of organizational behavior covers a range of topics that are relevant to business, international business, and international marketing management. These topics include leadership, motivation, team dynamics, communication, decision making, organizational culture, structure, change, and design. By applying the principles of OB, organizations can create an environment that fosters positive attitudes, behaviors, and performance among employees, which in turn leads to improved overall business outcomes.
