Organizational Theory
Organizational Behavior (OB) is the study and application of knowledge about how individuals and groups act within organizations. It focuses on understanding, predicting, and managing human behavior in an organizational context to achieve desired outcomes. OB draws from various disciplines including psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, and management. It examines individual attitudes and behaviors, group dynamics, leadership, communication, motivation, decision-making, power and politics, organizational culture, structure, design, change, and effectiveness. The goal of OB is to create positive work environments that promote job satisfaction, productivity, and employee well-being while achieving organizational goals.
