Definition of Art Galleries as it relates to Art, Impressionism, Oil Painting

Post-Impressionism is an art movement that emerged in the late 19th century as a reaction against Impressionism. It is characterized by a focus on emotional and symbolic content, as well as an exploration of abstract forms and vivid colors. Post-Impressionist artists sought to express their personal emotions and experiences, often using unconventional techniques and subject matter. They aimed to convey a sense of depth and structure, while also incorporating elements of abstraction. Overall, Post-Impressionism represents a departure from the purely observational approach of Impressionism and a move towards more subjective and expressive forms of art.
