Definition of Environmental Art as it relates to Art, Conceptual Art, Performance Art

Abstract Conceptualism refers to an art movement where abstract ideas and concepts take precedence over traditional aesthetic considerations. It combines the philosophies of abstract art, which values non-representational forms, with conceptual art, which emphasizes the idea or concept behind a work over its visual appearance. Performance art, which involves live action by the artist or others, can also be a component of Abstract Conceptualism as it highlights the intangible and temporal aspects of an artwork. Overall, Abstract Conceptualism seeks to challenge conventional notions of art and encourage viewers to engage with the intellectual and philosophical underpinnings of a work.
