Giraffes are long-necked, hoofed mammals native to the savannas and woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. They are known for their distinctive appearance, with a tall, slender body, long legs, and a patterned coat of reddish-brown spots on a light background. Giraffes have a unique feeding strategy, using their long necks to reach the leaves of tall trees that other animals cannot access. They are social animals, living in loose, open herds, and can be found in zoos around the world. Despite their size, giraffes are able to run at high speeds and can even sprint short distances at up to 35 miles per hour.
