Extinct Animals
Extinct animals refer to species that once thrived on Earth but are no longer found alive today, having ceased to exist due to various factors such as climate change, human activities, and natural disasters. This category encompasses creatures from different periods of Earth's history, including those whose existence is evidenced only through fossils. Fossil animals, a subset of extinct animals, are those that have left traces of their bodies or behavior in the form of fossils, allowing scientists to study and learn more about them. Dinosaurs, another subset of extinct animals, were a diverse group of reptiles that dominated Earth for over 160 million years before becoming extinct around 65 million years ago. Extinct animals serve as a reminder of the fragility of life on our planet and the importance of preserving biodiversity to prevent further species loss.
