Definition of Kangaroos as it relates to Animals, Farm Animals, Birds

Kangaroos are fascinating marsupials native to Australia, renowned for their powerful hind legs and large feet designed for leaping great distances. They belong to the family Macropodidae, which also includes wallabies and tree-kangaroos. These creatures possess a unique pouch where their young, called joeys, develop until they are mature enough to venture outside. Kangaroos exhibit complex social behaviors, often forming large groups known as mobs, led by the dominant male. Their diets mainly consist of grasses, leaves, and other plant materials. The distinctiveness of kangaroos lies in their adaptations for traversing vast landscapes efficiently while carrying their young in their pouches.
