Goats are hoofed mammals known for their agility and ability to climb steep slopes. They belong to the Bovidae family, which also includes sheep, cattle, and antelope. Goats have been domesticated for thousands of years and are often kept as farm animals for their milk, meat, and fiber. There are over 300 breeds of goats worldwide, ranging in size from small pygmy goats to large dairy goats. Goats are browsers, not grazers, and prefer to eat leaves, shrubs, and tree bark rather than grass. They are also known for their curious and intelligent personalities, making them popular pets and companions.
