Haftorah
Haftorah is a selection from the books of the Prophets that is read publicly in synagogue as a part of Jewish religious services. It typically follows the Torah reading on Shabbat and holidays, and provides additional teachings and insights related to the weekly Torah portion. The Haftorah portion is chosen based on its thematic connection to the Torah portion, and is traditionally chanted in a melodious manner by a designated reader.
