Great Apes

Great Apes are a group of large primates that includes orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, and bonobos. They are known for their intelligence, complex social structures, and use of tools. Great Apes are native to Africa and Southeast Asia, and are closely related to humans, sharing a common ancestor millions of years ago. These primates are characterized by their lack of a tail, highly developed brains, and dexterous hands with opposable thumbs. Great Apes are highly endangered due to habitat loss, hunting, and the illegal pet trade.
