Five Daily Prayers
Five daily prayers are a fundamental practice in Islam, consisting of prescribed prayers that are performed at specific times throughout the day. These prayers, known as Salat, are considered a direct form of worship and communication with Allah. The five daily prayers are Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night). Muslims are required to perform these prayers in a state of ritual purity, facing the Kaaba in Mecca. Each prayer consists of a series of physical movements and recitations of verses from the Quran. The five daily prayers serve as a means for Muslims to maintain spiritual connection, seek guidance, and express gratitude to Allah.
