European History
The study of past events, people, and societies in the geographical area known as Europe. This includes the exploration and colonization of new territories, wars and conflicts, cultural and intellectual developments, social structures, economic systems, and political movements that have shaped the continent over time. Key periods of European history include the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Age of Exploration, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, and the two World Wars of the 20th century.
