Medieval European History refers to the period of time in Europe from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century to the beginning of the Early Modern period in the 15th century. It encompasses significant events such as the rise of feudalism, the spread of Christianity, the Crusades, the Black Death, and the Hundred Years' War. This era saw the development of powerful kingdoms, the establishment of powerful monarchies, the growth of cities, and the intellectual and cultural flourishing of the High Middle Ages.
