Wu Chinese Language
Wu Chinese Language refers to a group of Sinitic languages spoken in the region of southern Jiangsu, eastern Zhejiang, as well as in parts of Shanghai and Fujian. It is characterized by phonological features such as retroflex initials, a lack of labial-velar consonants, and a tonal system with a reduced number of tones compared to other Chinese languages. Wu Chinese includes various dialects such as Shanghainese, Suzhounese, and Wenzhounese, each with its own distinct vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
