World Heritage Sites
World Heritage Sites are landmarks or areas that have been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for their cultural, historical, scientific, or other significance. These sites are considered to be of outstanding value to humanity and are protected and preserved for future generations. They can include natural wonders, such as national parks and wildlife reserves, as well as man-made structures, such as historic buildings, monuments, and archaeological sites. The designation as a World Heritage Site helps to raise awareness of the importance of these landmarks and promotes international cooperation in their preservation and conservation.
