Woolly Mammoths

Woolly Mammoths were large, extinct elephants that roamed the Earth during the Pleistocene epoch. They were covered in thick, shaggy fur to protect them from the cold temperatures of the Ice Age. Woolly Mammoths had long, curved tusks and were herbivores, feeding mainly on grasses and shrubs. These majestic creatures stood approximately 9 to 11 feet tall at the shoulders and weighed around 6 to 8 tons. Woolly Mammoths are often associated with prehistoric times and are a popular subject of study for paleontologists and researchers.
