Weightlifting Competition

Weightlifting competition involves athletes lifting heavy weights in two primary lifts: the snatch and the clean and jerk. Competitors are divided into weight classes and have three attempts to lift the maximum weight possible in each lift. The athlete with the highest total weight lifted in their respective weight class is declared the winner. Weightlifting competitions are held at various levels, including local, national, and international events, such as the Olympic Games. Participants train rigorously to build strength, power, and technique to excel in these competitions.
