Waterthrushes
Waterthrushes are a group of small to medium-sized songbirds belonging to the genus Parkesia within the Parulidae family. They are known for their distinctive behavior of foraging for insects and other small invertebrates along the edges of streams, rivers, and wetlands. Waterthrushes have a cryptic plumage, with streaked brown and white colors on their underparts and olive-brown upperparts. They have long legs and strong feet for wading in shallow water. These birds are primarily found in North and Central America, with some species migrating to South America for the winter.
