Vehicle Rotors
Vehicle rotors are circular components found in braking systems of vehicles, designed to work in conjunction with brake pads to slow down or stop the vehicle. They are typically made of high-quality materials such as cast iron or carbon ceramic, and are attached to the wheel hub. When the brakes are applied, the brake pads clamp down on the rotor, creating friction which slows down the rotation of the wheel. This process converts kinetic energy into heat energy, ultimately bringing the vehicle to a stop. Vehicle rotors come in various designs, including solid, vented, and slotted, each offering different benefits in terms of heat dissipation and performance.
