VDJ Recombination

VDJ recombination is a process by which diverse combinations of variable (V), diversity (D), and joining (J) gene segments are rearranged to generate unique antigen receptor genes in lymphocytes. This process plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune response by creating a wide range of antigen receptors capable of recognizing and binding to specific foreign antigens.
