Types of Automotive Brakes
Types of Automotive Brakes refers to the diverse mechanisms used in vehicles to slow down or stop movement. These include disc brakes, which use calipers to squeeze pads against a disc mounted on the wheel, drum brakes, which use shoes to press against the inside of a drum mounted on the wheel, regenerative brakes, which convert kinetic energy into electricity to slow the vehicle, and hydraulic brakes, which use fluid pressure to transfer force from the brake pedal to the brake pads. Other types include electric brakes, anti-lock brakes, and parking brakes.
