Tundra Climate
Tundra Climate is characterized by cold temperatures, low precipitation, and short growing seasons. It is typically found in high-latitude regions near the Arctic Circle, as well as at high elevations in mountainous areas. The tundra is covered in permafrost, which is a layer of permanently frozen soil that prevents trees from taking root. Vegetation in the tundra consists of low-lying plants such as mosses, lichens, and shrubs that are adapted to survive in harsh conditions. Wildlife in the tundra includes animals such as caribou, musk oxen, and polar bears that have thick fur or blubber to insulate them from the cold.
