Transfer Case Assembly

A transfer case assembly is a component found in four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles that transfers power from the transmission to the front and rear axles. It is typically located between the transmission and the rear driveshaft, and contains gears and shafts that allow for power to be distributed to all four wheels when engaged. Transfer case assemblies can be either chain-driven or gear-driven, and may feature multiple modes such as 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD Low for varying driving conditions.
