Tissue Engineering
Tissue engineering is the development and manipulation of synthetic or natural materials to create functional tissues that can be used to repair, replace, or enhance damaged or diseased tissues within the body. This interdisciplinary field combines principles of engineering, biology, and medicine to design constructs that mimic the structure and function of native tissues, with the ultimate goal of restoring normal tissue function and improving patient outcomes.
