Tennessee Warbler Species

The Tennessee Warbler species, scientifically known as Oreothlypis peregrina, is a small migratory songbird that belongs to the New World warbler family. These birds have olive-green upperparts, yellow underparts, and a distinct white eye ring. They breed in the boreal forests of North America and spend winters in Central and South America. Tennessee Warblers forage for insects and spiders in the canopy of coniferous and mixed forests during the breeding season, and in shrubby habitats during migration and winter. They are known for their distinctive high-pitched song, which sounds like a buzzing trill.
