Tektites
Tektites are natural glass objects formed from terrestrial debris that is ejected during meteorite impacts. These objects have unique characteristics such as a smooth, aerodynamic shape, and a high silica content. Tektites are typically black, green, or brown in color and can vary in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters. They are often found in strewn fields, which are areas where numerous tektites have been scattered over a large area due to the force of impact. Tektites are believed to have formed as a result of the intense heat and pressure generated during meteorite impacts, which melted and fused the surrounding rocks into glassy objects.
