Tangent Function
A trigonometric function that represents the ratio of the length of the side opposite a given angle to the length of the adjacent side in a right triangle. It is defined as the sine of the angle divided by the cosine of the angle. The tangent function is periodic with a period of π, and has vertical asymptotes at odd multiples of π/2.
