Swellfishes
Swellfishes, also known as pufferfishes, are a group of highly specialized fish known for their ability to inflate their bodies to deter predators. They belong to the family Tetraodontidae and are characterized by their unique ability to puff up by taking in water or air, making themselves appear larger and more difficult to swallow. Swellfishes typically have spiky skin and beak-like mouths, and are found in both saltwater and freshwater environments around the world. They are known for their toxin called tetrodotoxin, which can be deadly if consumed in large quantities.
