Surrogate Mother
A surrogate mother is a woman who carries a pregnancy for another individual or couple, typically through in vitro fertilization (IVF) using the intended parents' or donor's egg and sperm. The surrogate mother undergoes the pregnancy and gives birth to a child, but does not intend to raise the child and instead relinquishes parental rights to the intended parents. Surrogacy arrangements can be altruistic or commercial, with various legal and ethical considerations involved in the process.
