Suprematism Theory

Suprematism Theory refers to an abstract art movement developed in Russia in the early 20th century by artist Kazimir Malevich. It is characterized by geometric shapes, particularly squares and circles, painted in a limited range of colors on a white background. Suprematist artwork seeks to represent pure feeling and emotion through non-representational forms, emphasizing the spiritual and the abstract over the material world. Malevich believed that art should strive for the "supremacy of pure feeling or perception in the pictorial arts," hence the name "suprematism." The movement had a significant influence on the development of modern art and continues to be studied and appreciated by art historians and enthusiasts.
