Supermassive Black Holes
Supermassive black holes are extremely dense regions in space with a gravitational pull so strong that not even light can escape. They are found at the centers of galaxies and can have masses billions of times greater than that of the sun. These cosmic behemoths are believed to play a crucial role in the evolution of galaxies and are surrounded by a swirling disk of gas and dust, which can emit powerful radiation and jets of particles.
