Steel Drums
Steel drums are musical instruments originating from Trinidad and Tobago, traditionally made from recycled oil barrels. They produce melodic tones and are commonly used in calypso, reggae, and soca music. The drums are played by striking the surface with mallets or bare hands to create rhythmic patterns and harmonious sounds. The size and shape of the drums determine the pitch of the notes produced, with larger drums typically producing lower tones and smaller drums producing higher tones. Steel drums are a popular choice for musicians and performers seeking a unique and vibrant sound in their music.
