Spider Physiology

Spider physiology refers to the biological makeup and functions of spiders. This includes their anatomical structures such as eight legs, two body segments (cephalothorax and abdomen), fangs, spinnerets, and multiple eyes. Spiders are arachnids that possess specialized adaptations for hunting and survival, such as silk production for web-building, venom for prey capture and digestion, and sensory organs for detecting vibrations and chemicals in their environment. Their respiratory system includes book lungs or tracheae, and they have an exoskeleton for protection and support. Spiders also exhibit unique behaviors such as molting, courtship rituals, and maternal care of offspring.
