Special Teams Coordinator
A Special Teams Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the special teams unit of a football team, which includes the kickoff, punt, field goal, and extra point units. They are in charge of developing and implementing strategies to maximize the team's performance on special teams, including coordinating player assignments, formations, and techniques. The Special Teams Coordinator works closely with the head coach and other assistant coaches to ensure that the special teams unit is well-prepared for all aspects of the game. They also analyze game film and statistics to identify areas for improvement and make adjustments as needed.
