Snapping Turtles

Snapping turtles are large freshwater turtles known for their powerful jaws and aggressive behavior. They have a distinctive, rough shell and long tail, as well as a beak-like mouth with sharp, pointed ridges. These turtles are carnivorous and primarily feed on fish, insects, and other small animals. They are commonly found in lakes, ponds, and slow-moving streams throughout North America. Snapping turtles are known for their ability to snap quickly and fiercely when threatened, making them one of the more intimidating turtle species.
