Sgraffiti
Sgraffiti refers to a style of wall decoration produced by applying layers of plaster tinted in contrasting colors to a moistened surface, then scratching designs into the top layer to reveal the different hues underneath. This technique is commonly used in architectural ornamentation, particularly on the exteriors of buildings, to create intricate and visually striking patterns. Sgraffiti can range from simple geometric shapes to complex illustrations and is often associated with Renaissance and Baroque art and architecture.
