Russian Traditional Instruments
Russian Traditional Instruments are a diverse group of musical tools that have been used for centuries in Russian folk music and traditional performances. These instruments include the balalaika, a stringed instrument with a triangular body and three strings; the domra, a larger string instrument similar to a mandolin; the gusli, a type of zither with numerous strings; the bayan, a type of accordion; the zhaleika, a small wooden flute; and the buben, a type of percussion instrument similar to a tambourine. These instruments are integral to Russian cultural identity and are often featured in traditional music ensembles and performances.
