Russian clothing refers to traditional garments worn by the people of Russia. It often includes items such as the sarafan, a long, sleeveless dress worn by women, and the kosovorotka, a traditional men's shirt with a collar that can be buttoned on one side. Fur hats, such as the ushanka, are also commonly worn in Russia to protect against the cold weather. Other traditional clothing items may include kokoshniks, shawls, and valenki (felt boots).
