Quantitative Genetics
Quantitative Genetics involves the study of the genetic basis of complex traits and how they are influenced by multiple genes and environmental factors. It focuses on the analysis of continuous phenotypic traits, such as height, weight, and blood pressure, using statistical methods to understand the genetic architecture underlying these traits. The goal of quantitative genetics is to quantify the contribution of genetic variation to phenotypic variation and to predict the outcomes of breeding programs in agriculture and animal breeding.
