Pyroclastic Flows
Pyroclastic flows are fast-moving currents of hot gas and volcanic matter that flow down the slopes of a volcano during an eruption. These deadly flows can reach speeds of up to 450 miles per hour and temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius. Pyroclastic flows are extremely destructive, capable of leveling everything in their path and causing widespread devastation to surrounding areas.
