Proboscis Monkeys

Proboscis Monkeys are large, reddish-brown primates native to the island of Borneo. They are known for their distinctive long, hooked noses, which are larger in males than females. These monkeys live in mangrove forests and along rivers, where they feed on leaves, fruits, and insects. Proboscis Monkeys are known for their loud, honking calls and their unique social structure, which is based on a harem system led by a dominant male. They are considered endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
