Preoperational

Preoperational refers to a stage of cognitive development in young children, typically between the ages of 2 and 7, as described by Jean Piaget. During this stage, children exhibit symbolic thinking and engage in pretend play. They are still limited in their ability to understand concrete logic and struggle with the concept of conservation. Additionally, children in the preoperational stage are egocentric, meaning they have difficulty seeing things from perspectives other than their own.
