PreRaphaelites
The Pre-Raphaelites were a group of English artists, poets, and critics who were active during the mid-19th century. They rejected the academic standards of the Royal Academy of Arts and sought to return to the detailed and colorful style of painting that was popular before the High Renaissance. The Pre-Raphaelites were known for their intricate attention to detail, vibrant colors, and focus on themes from literature, poetry, and history. Some of the most famous members of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood included Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais, and William Holman Hunt.
